How To Keep Pets Cool During The Summer
Our pets are members of our family. We love them and care for them. That affection is returned to us a hundred times over, our pets love is unconditional. During the summer months, we are often worried about the heat and their safety. As with our children, we want to protect them from the hot rays of the sun we want to do the same for our pets. Let’s look at a few ways me might learn how to keep pets cool during the summer.
Limit your pet-s time outdoors. We all like the air conditioning and so do our pets. When the temperature rises, we need to be aware of its effect on our pets. Even dogs can get sun burns. We need to provide them with shade and plenty of fresh clean water. Unlike people, who can clearly and plainly tell us when they are too hot and thirsty, our pets cannot communicate those issues with us. We, as pet owners must watch our pets for any sign that they might be suffering from the heat of summer. Follow their guide, if they are at the door panting; let them inside for a while to cool off. Provide cool water both indoors and outdoors.
We love our pets dearly and they depend on us for their care and survival. On days that we are warned to avoid outside activities, we must think of our pets because the same warning applies to them. If your pet is fond of being sprayed with water, turn on the hose or sprinkler and let them play in the water. Provide shade when they are out side. Let them enjoy the comforts of the indoors on those days that the heat is very intense. I can not say it enough; we need always to keep water available at all times for our pets. We love them and they love us, no better companion than our pet.
