It’s wintertime and you’re likely preoccupied worrying about your house, whether or not the CO2 monitor on your homesecuritysystem.com alarm is working and whether or not your pipes are going to freeze, but what about your dog? Here are a few common winter issues you’ve got to keep in mind when this time of year rolls around
Skin Issues: Many dogs have dry skin to begin with but winter only exacerbates the issue. Try not to bathe your dog too much and when you do use conditioner to ensure his skin’s moistened.
Cold Weather: Many people assume that since dogs are already wearing “fur coats’ they don’t really get cold. That’s not true! Particularly for smaller dogs, freezing weather can be extremely dangerous so invest in a coat and even fur boots if necessary and spend some time indoors.
CO2: Carbon monoxide isn’t just a people problem, it can really hurt dogs, too. If you suspect you may have a leak or even if your home’s older get a detector installed or consider getting an alarm that tests for the gas.

Sugar gliders are small, cute animals that fascinate pet owners. Before you buy one, though, you should consider several factors.

These animals require a cage large enough to allow them to jump around and glide. It should be fitted out with toys, branches, ropes, water bottle and feeding dish. Ideally, it should be tall and narrow. This is important to consider if you are limited on space. The cage should also be made of wire. They are easy to feed, having a variety of tastes, from fruits, mealworms, crickets and dried foods.

When you purchase one, you will need to spend time with it in order to create a good bond. They are very social, but it will take time to do. They will need a minimum of three hours each day to get good interaction. If you have other large pets, such as dogs and cats, you will need to be cautious. They can easily become injured by a larger animal if care is not taken.

You can also keep more than one, depending on your circumstances. Sugar gliders are wonderful pets, but do require care and attention to keep them happy and healthy throughout their lifespan with you.

Pet’s are a wonderful addition to any person and family. Animals offer so many different things. They offer companionship and love. Love is the one of the basic needs of humans according to psychologists. The need for love is embred in all of us. There are many people that have pscyhological disorders because their needs for love were not meant as a child.

Having a pet fills that void inside of a person. The animal gives willingly unconditional love to it’s owner. There have also been numorous studies on how petting an animal lowers blood pressure and changes the body in a more positive way. Having an animal has many health benefits. The mental health of a person is elevated considerably with animals. It has been shown that Animals can help elevate the moods of depressive people. In a depressive person, the touch of an animal gives them a boost in cortisol levels which contribute to depression. The seretonin levels are also increased which helps in reducing stress.

Having a pet is a very good way to help with mental health. Reducing stress levels and lowering bloodpressure is very important to keeping mentally healthy. The back and forth recieving and giving love is something natural and unconditional that meets our primal basic needs.

When you travel with your pet, there are several things that you need to consider for their safety. This makes the trip more enjoyable for both of you.

You need to carefully plan where you will stay along the way. Many hotels welcome pets, while others do not. This ensures that you and your pet have somewhere comfortable to sleep. While you have your pet in the car, there needs to be a designated area of the vehicle for it to stay. This may be a blocked off section in the back, or a portable pen that you take along.Never heard of this before? Get up to speed here. The pen provides a safe, secure place for your pet to travel in.

You need to make sure that you carry enough food, water and related supplies with you. Your pet, when out of the vehicle, should always be on a leash or harness. This prevents your animal from running off and within your control. You should take frequent stops to let your pet stretch its legs and use the bathroom.

In warmer weather, never leave you pet in a vehicle, as they can become overheated quickly. With these tips, your pet can travel with you safely and hassle free.

When it comes to my family, I can never be too careful. We have a little dachshund named Zeus and I cannot imagine loosing track of our little one. She came to us around three years ago as stray puppy. We combed the neighborhood trying to find her owner with no luck. We found out some time later that she had been abandoned. The owner apparently grew tiresome of her puppy ways and left her in our neighborhood. We adopted little Zeus into our clan and my son blessed her with her namesake. She was less than a year old when she came to us and since has become quite a well-trained pup. About six months after she joined the family we had a GPS tracker attached. After hearing just how effective these gadgets work, I could not think of better fail safe for our own little pup. Not to mention, if the owner decided to take her back, I wanted to know where she would disappear to. The GPS system is wonderful; I can monitor her movements on my notebook computer. The software gives the peace of mind knowing that if we lost Zeus, she could be easily found.
